What this site collects, and what it does not

The short version: this website sets no cookies, shows no advertising and asks for your details in one place only, the enquiry form. What you type there is delivered by an outside email service to the firm's inbox so that someone can answer you. The detail below says exactly what is collected, why, and what happens to it.

What does this site collect?

The site collects what you type into the enquiry form, and nothing else from you. That form asks for your name and email address, a phone number and an organization if you want to give them, and answers to two questions about the work: what it should change, and what is taking the most time today. Everything else recorded here is technical: the request records any web server keeps, and a count of how often each page is read.

The enquiry form
Your name and email address, an optional phone number and organization, and your answers to the two questions about the work.
Email you send
Whatever is in your message, and the address it came from.
Request records
The ordinary server log of a page request, including the network address your connection used.
Page counts
A cookieless count of how often each page is read, which identifies nobody.

Where does an enquiry go?

An enquiry goes to the inbox Mavrin Labs reads, and two outside services handle it on the way. The form is handled by a small function on the same hosting that serves this site, which keeps no copy of its own and passes every field you filled in to an outside email delivery service. That service sends it as an email to the firm's inbox, which is itself held by an outside email provider.

Mavrin Labs uses those two services only to deliver the enquiry and hold it in its inbox. No customer-relationship tool, marketing platform, lead broker or advertising network receives it, and it is never sold, rented, traded or shared for any other purpose. It is used to answer you and to carry out any work you then ask for.

Who is responsible for this notice?

Mavrin Labs LLC is responsible for this notice and for the personal data described in it. The business is in Sarasota, Florida, and anything to do with privacy can be sent to mavrinlabs@gmail.com, which reaches the people who answer enquiries rather than a department set up to deflect them.

Does this site use cookies?

The site sets no cookies at all. Measurement here is cookieless: the platform that hosts the site counts page views without storing a cookie, a device identifier or anything else that would let a later visit be tied to an earlier one. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no consent banner to dismiss and nothing for you to switch off.

What is collected automatically?

Two things are collected automatically, and neither builds a profile. The platform that serves these pages keeps the request records any web server keeps, which include the network address a connection used and the page it asked for, and it counts page views for the site's own use. No advertising network receives anything, and this site carries no tracking tag of that kind.

Is anything used for advertising?

Nothing collected here is used for advertising, by Mavrin Labs or by anyone else. The firm buys no advertising, sells none, and carries no tag on this site that reports a visit or an enquiry to an advertising network. An enquiry is never added to a marketing list, and you will not receive a newsletter because you once asked a question.

How long is information kept?

An enquiry and the reply to it are kept for as long as they are useful to the work, which for a project that goes ahead means the life of that project and the records it leaves. No fixed retention period is published here, because publishing one the firm does not actually keep to would be worse than saying so plainly. Ask by email and you will be told what is held about you.

What choices do you have?

Your choices are exercised by email, because this site has no account to log in to and no preference centre to visit. Write to mavrinlabs@gmail.com to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or to have it deleted, and say which address or enquiry it concerns so that it can be found.

What about children's privacy?

Children are not the audience for this site, and no part of it is directed at anyone under thirteen. Mavrin Labs does not knowingly collect personal data from a child, and privacy for a child is best protected by there being nothing here to sign up to. If you believe a child has sent something through the form or by email, write and say so, and it will be deleted.

How are changes to this notice made?

Changes to this notice are published on this page, and the last updated date at the top changes with them. Where a change affects what is collected or who receives it, the notice says what changed rather than quietly replacing the old wording. The date moves only when the wording does, which is the rule the editorial policy sets for every page here.

The terms of use cover the rest of your use of this site, and the contact page is the route to a person.
