Questions buyers ask before they start

These are the questions buyers put to Mavrin Labs before they start, grouped by the order they usually come in: what the firm builds, how working together starts, and whether it is a fit. Questions about the company are answered on the about page, and how to get in touch on the contact page, so nothing here repeats either of them.

About the work

What the firm builds, what the work is meant to change, and what it asks of the people who already do the job. Every answer here rests on a confirmed fact, and each one points at the page that goes further.

What does Mavrin Labs build?

Mavrin Labs builds seven kinds of system: automation for work that repeats, AI agents for work that changes case by case, custom software, integrations between the systems you already run, websites and ecommerce, data and reporting, and the technical side of search. Each one is built on the tools you operate today.

What results does the work aim for?

The work aims at two results: more revenue, and more hours back every week for the people already doing the job. Which of the two a project chases is your choice, named as a figure in the first conversation and measured against the way the task runs today. No number is promised on this page, because a promise made before the task has been timed would be invented.

Do current systems have to be replaced?

Current systems do not have to be replaced. Mavrin Labs builds on top of the tools you already operate, such as your customer records, your shared inbox, your accounting software and your scheduling, and links them so information moves without being retyped. Where a tool genuinely cannot do what a workflow needs, you hear why before anything is built and the decision is yours.

Will staff have to learn new technology?

Staff should not have to learn new technology. The work happens inside the screens they already open each day, so the change they notice is that some tasks arrive done, or ready for a quick check. Where a person has to approve a step, the approval reaches them in the screens they already use.

Does running the result need more staff?

Running the result does not need more staff. A workflow Mavrin Labs builds runs by itself and hands a person the exceptions, so its purpose is to give hours back to the people already in post. A build that would add roles in order to keep it running is the wrong build.

How working together starts

How a target is set before anything is built, how the investment is settled, and what the first move is. Mavrin Labs is in Sarasota and works with clients anywhere, so the first step is the same wherever you are.

How is a result agreed before the build?

A result is agreed before the build by writing down where you stand today and where you want to be. Mavrin Labs times the task as it runs now, you name the target in hours or revenue, and you both agree how it will be tracked and the date you will review it. The measurable results method sets out each part of that.

How is the investment decided?

The investment is decided once the task, the baseline and the target are clear. Mavrin Labs writes a scope naming what will be built, what result it should reach and how that result will be checked, and the investment is agreed against that written scope. The page on how engagements work sets out each stage.

What is the first step?

The first step is an enquiry through the contact page, naming the one workflow that eats the most hours in your week. A conversation follows, looking at how that workflow runs today, what a better version would look like, and whether this is the right firm to build it. Nothing is signed at that stage. If the fit is right, the work begins with the Assess step.

Whether the firm is a fit

Two questions that decide the fit quickly, one about who the work is for and one about what the firm does not do. Where the answer is no, it is better said here than discovered later.

Does Mavrin Labs work with nonprofits?

Mavrin Labs works with nonprofits as readily as with businesses, and the outcome it sells names nonprofit leaders alongside business owners. A nonprofit usually has the same problem in a different shape: a small group of people carrying work that repeats, with even less room to add anyone. No client of either kind is named here, so judge the fit from the industries pages instead.

Does Mavrin Labs run advertising for clients?

Mavrin Labs does not run advertising for clients, and it buys none for itself. The firm sells the systems behind the work, so an engagement is about automation, software, integrations, websites, reporting or search. This site also carries no tracking tag that reports a visit to an advertising network, which is why it shows no consent notice.

Questions about a specific project

Questions that depend on a particular project, such as how long it will take, are answered in the conversation and then in the written scope. Client material is handled under the engagement agreement. For anything this page does not cover, the contact page is the quickest route to an answer.
